Head of Legal & Compliance USM Business (Aviation)

Location: Hybrid role with 80% onsite and 20% remote work, based in Glendale, Arizona; Boca Raton, Florida; or Herndon, Virginia. Must be able to work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Lead the legal and compliance function for the USM business and advise the CEO and senior leadership.
• Manage a team of approximately 8–10 legal and compliance professionals and coordinate external counsel.
• Oversee drafting, review, negotiation, and closing of sales, procurement, leasing, consignment, repair, overhaul, and aircraft transaction contracts.
• Implement contract management systems, templates, export controls, KYC, trade compliance, and business ethics programs.
• Manage corporate governance documents, board materials, policies, registrations, and internal approvals for US legal entities.
• Provide advice on commercial disputes, claims, investigations, audits, intellectual property, and other legal and compliance matters.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• 15+ years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
• Experience managing a legal and compliance team.
• Admission to a US state bar and good standing.
• Current US work authorization without current or future need for visa sponsorship.
• Ability to travel approximately 20% domestically and internationally.

• Experience with aircraft, engine, and spare-part sales and leasing transactions.
• Experience in the used serviceable materials sector.
• Experience managing export control and business ethics compliance programs.
