What you will do

• Own the mechanical and structural design, packaging, analysis, testing, and validation of secondary structures within the Terran R avionics system.
• Develop trays, brackets, dynamic isolation, thermal management, and environmental protection components.
• Set design standards, review and approve analyses and drawings, and make architecture-level trade decisions balancing mission requirements, producibility, schedule, and cost.
• Drive integration across Avionics, Fluids, Dynamics, Thermal, Structures, and Vehicle Integration teams.
• Perform modal, structural, and thermal analyses for static, dynamic, and thermal environments, ensuring appropriate design margins for flight.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in full-cycle mechanical or structural design engineering.
• Experience taking hardware from concept through flight or production.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with 3D computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Strong background in structural and thermal analysis, including finite element analysis methods.
• Demonstrated ownership of complex, multidisciplinary technical projects and delivery under schedule pressure.
