People Systems Architect (Workday)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, Denver, or New York, with remote work available within the US. Core business hours availability is required, and travel may be required.

Salary: $154,040–$217,464 annually, with potential eligibility for equity and discretionary bonus programs.

What you will do

• Lead HR technology projects covering compensation cycles, performance reviews, learning initiatives, and other Workday enhancements.
• Partner with People Centers of Excellence and business stakeholders to identify process improvements and recommend Workday solutions.
• Gather requirements and translate them into process designs, configuration plans, and delivery plans.
• Configure and optimize Workday business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, security, reports, and related functionality.
• Manage testing, UAT, release readiness, production support, issue resolution, data loads, validation, and reconciliation.
• Maintain Workday documentation, data quality, operational health, compliance controls, and audit readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–8 years of progressive Workday or HR technology experience with significant hands-on configuration experience.
• Deep Workday configuration experience in at least three functional areas, with Compensation required.
• Hands-on experience with Workday business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, reporting, EIBs, data validation, and basic security concepts.
• Experience with Workday releases, production issues, UAT, enhancement delivery, and cross-functional technology projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
