Manufacturing Technician III (Electronics Assembly)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Assemble complex mechanical and electrical components, subassemblies, SMT circuit cards, and final electronics assemblies using drawings, schematics, and manufacturing procedures.
• Set up equipment, change tooling, adjust production processes, troubleshoot issues, and support automation equipment, fixtures, and tooling.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections and document production, traceability, quality, and nonconformance information.
• Maintain manufacturing route steps, work instructions, and standardized work in the MES, recommending updates based on production experience.
• Support engineering, quality, production control, supply chain, and senior technicians during process troubleshooting and new product introductions.
• Guide Manufacturing Technicians on assembly methods and production practices while supporting inventory accuracy, 5S, safety, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, production assembly, mechanical assembly, electronics assembly, or related operations.
• Experience interpreting schematics, engineering drawings, diagrams, parts lists, and other visual aids.
• Experience using tools to make or repair parts and products, performing preventive maintenance, and maintaining inventory.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, communicate with engineers and design staff, maintain a clean workspace, and follow strict safety guidelines.
• Familiarity with ESD- and FOD-controlled environments, basic computer-based quality documentation, precision inspection tools, and color identification of electrical wires.
