Production Technician Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; on-site, second shift

Salary: $90,000–$145,000 per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Hire, supervise, and develop production technicians and welders building electromechanical parts and assemblies.
• Execute production plans, priorities, schedules, daily workflows, and task assignments.
• Lead cross-functional stand-ups focused on quality, cost, delivery, safety, and cleanliness.
• Run training programs, manage timecards and performance reviews, and address personnel matters with Human Resources.
• Perform R&D, prototype, and production hardware builds according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing discrepancies and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate, or higher.
• At least 5 years of formal leadership experience in manufacturing and 10 years of experience with technical skills including mechanical and electrical assembly, plumbing, vacuum systems, cryogenic systems, soldering, and wiring.
• Ability to read and understand technical and electrical drawings, manuals, and reports; experience with 3D CAD assemblies is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Strong communication, accountability, attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to work independently through assembly and testing projects.
• Must be able to work on-site in Devens, Massachusetts, occasionally work nights, weekends, or on-call shifts, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma principles.
• Experience with winding equipment.
