Intern Engineering Designer (Bridge)

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; on-site work and site visits or inspections may be required.

Salary: CAD 20–30 per hour

What you will do

• Review engineering plans and details and perform quantity take-offs.
• Support project monitoring, scheduling, and progress reporting.
• Assist with computer modeling and the production of engineering drawings, calculations, and cost estimates under senior engineer supervision.
• Apply relevant engineering codes and standards to project deliverables.
• Attend site visits and inspections.

Requirements

• Current third- or fourth-year undergraduate student or graduate student in an accredited Civil Engineering program; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Strong organizational, time management, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team.
• Commitment to integrity, innovation, and continuous learning.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and engineering software such as SAP2000 or CSiBridge.
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation.
