R&D Engineer Mechanical (Electronics Packaging)

Annual base salary: CAD 76,300.00–CAD 122,000.00

What you will do

• Design rack-level and tray-level mechanical enclosures from concept through detailed design and production.
• Define product appearance, select technologies and components, perform tolerance and DFM analysis, and support prototype builds.
• Collaborate with hardware, ASIC, signal, thermal, diagnostic, packaging, manufacturing, and partner engineering teams.
• Develop PCB-related mechanical solutions and address complex thermal and power delivery challenges.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, qualification, customer trials, field issues, and product sustaining.
• Prepare engineering drawings, bills of materials, change orders, and other product documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in electronics packaging and high-powered enclosure design.
• Proficiency with PTC Creo and Windchill for 3D modeling, design, and data management.
• Experience with sheet metal, machining, die-casting, plastic manufacturing, liquid cooling, and production transitions.
• Understanding of US, European, and Asian regulations, standards, and data center best practices.
• Experience owning complex products from inception through volume production and collaborating with cross-functional support groups.
