Technical Staff Engineer – Design & Product Validation (Networking and Edge Compute)

Annual base salary: $107,000–$226,000

What you will do

• Lead validation strategies, plans, qualification criteria, coverage metrics, and release-readiness requirements for networking and edge-compute products.
• Design and maintain validation platforms combining hardware, FPGA, software, automation, test infrastructure, and system-level integration.
• Lead investigations and root-cause analysis of complex silicon, hardware, firmware, software, networking, interoperability, performance, and system issues.
• Develop high-speed boards, FPGA designs, embedded processor test applications, Python automation, and software SDK integrations.
• Collaborate with Product Design, Verification, Software, Applications, Product Engineering, Marketing, customers, and technology partners.
• Mentor engineers, manage external engineering partners, coordinate technical deliverables, and communicate product readiness and risks to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• 12+ years of related experience.
• Proven technical leadership across engineering teams, projects, or cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
• Experience with complex SoC validation and bring-up, high-speed interfaces such as PCI Express and Ethernet, FPGA development, embedded C/C++, Python automation, or system integration is preferred.
• Experience with high-speed serial technologies, signal integrity, advanced laboratory instrumentation, characterization, compliance testing, or customer issue investigation is preferred.
