Sr. Specialist, Supplier Management (Automotive)

Location: Based at hirify.global headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, or Novi, Michigan; 4–5 days per week in the office. Domestic and international travel is required approximately 80% of the time.

Base salary: $110,000–$135,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead supplier readiness and industrialization assessments covering manufacturing capability, tooling, process maturity, and operational preparedness.
• Drive supplier development and readiness activities from pre-production through mass production across multiple vehicle programs.
• Identify supplier, manufacturing, quality, capacity, logistics, and supply continuity risks, and drive mitigation plans.
• Lead supplier performance reviews and apply APQP, PPAP, Lean Manufacturing, audits, and continuous improvement methods.
• Advise Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and Program Management teams on supplier and launch issues.
• Develop readiness metrics, performance trends, and risk assessments for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in supplier development, supplier quality, procurement, manufacturing engineering, launch management, or a related automotive field.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex supplier readiness and industrialization activities across suppliers, manufacturing processes, and vehicle programs.
• Advanced experience with APQP, PPAP, Supplier Readiness Reviews, Manufacturing Readiness Assessments, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field; a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is the minimum education requirement.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Valid driver’s license and passport required; regular office presence and approximately 80% domestic and international travel required.
