Senior Buyer, Controls & Accessories (Aerospace)

Location: Centennial, Colorado, United States; this role is located at the Centennial facility.

Salary: $110,000–$135,000 base salary annually.

What you will do

• Lead sourcing and procurement activities for controls, accessories, electronics, test hardware, and manufacturing support equipment.
• Manage RFQs and RFPs, supplier selection, bid analysis, negotiations, purchase orders, and contract execution.
• Procure PCBs, motors, pumps, tooling, and related manufacturing equipment.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, government contracting regulations, AS9100, and ISO-related requirements.
• Prepare and maintain procurement compliance documentation, including government contract clause flow-downs to suppliers.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Facilities, Quality, Finance, and Program Management to support procurement objectives.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, service agreements, and long-term supply arrangements.
• Develop supplier relationships, drive cost reductions, improve processes, mitigate supply chain risks, and maintain accurate ERP/MRP records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 3–7+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated industry.
• Hands-on sourcing experience with electronics, including PCBs, motors, and pumps.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, government contract compliance documentation, supplier management, negotiation, and procurement analytics.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Excel, statements of work, and equipment specifications.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, precision machining, additive, or advanced manufacturing.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, long-term supply agreements, or logistics.
• Experience reading engineering drawings.
