Production Planner I (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States. U.S. office roles are subject to ITAR and other U.S. Government export-control requirements; candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, lawfully admitted refugees or asylees, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

Base pay: $63,000–$79,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Manage supply and fulfillment planning for production work orders in MRP.
• Release work orders to Production and kit requests to Inventory.
• Create line-of-balance, material shortage, and clear-to-build reports to provide visibility into material position.
• Prioritize and expedite subassemblies to support integration timelines.
• Maintain accurate part master data and validate material demand and configuration accuracy in MRP.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Finance to keep production work queues prioritized and clear of blockers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 4+ years of total work experience.
• Experience conducting build reviews and expediting materials through production.
• Knowledge of production planning fundamentals, master data management, batch processing, and issue ticket disposition.
• Proficiency with MRP systems, ERP systems, Microsoft Office, mathematics, and statistics.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and comply with applicable ITAR and export-control requirements.
• Ability to work onsite and tolerate periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional exposure to moderate production-area noise, dust, and fumes.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, EV automotive, or other advanced manufacturing industries.
• Experience in a rapid-growth environment and ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience with AS9100 and U.S. export controls.
• SQL, Python, or R experience.
• Strong organization, prioritization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
