Payroll Project Manager (Global Payroll)

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. Salary: $113,000–$143,950 per year.

What you will do

• Lead global payroll implementations, transformations, and optimization projects.
• Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocations, and governance processes.
• Coordinate payroll vendors, HR, Finance, IT, Legal, Tax, and local country teams.
• Manage payroll system migrations, integrations, standardization, testing, parallel runs, and deployment.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies while ensuring compliance with labor, tax, and data privacy requirements.
• Present progress and risks to executive stakeholders, including the C-suite, and support change management, training, and operational transition.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field.
• 5–10+ years of payroll experience and 3–7+ years leading payroll implementation or transformation projects.
• Experience managing multi-country or global payroll programs and working with payroll vendors or managed service providers.
• Required knowledge of Workday, SAP, and ADP payroll systems.
• Experience with risk management, problem-solving, process improvement, payroll governance, data analysis, and reporting.
• US work authorization without current or future sponsorship is required, and applicants must reside in an eligible state.
