Project Manager (AI)

Location: Fully remote opportunity; primary posting location is Palo Alto, with compensation bands also listed for other U.S. locations.

Salary: $131,750–$178,250 per year in Palo Alto, New York, and San Francisco; $119,000–$161,000 per year in Austin, Boulder, Century City, Delaware, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Seattle, Washington, D.C., and other locations.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of technology, AI, automation, and digital innovation projects within a PMO framework.
• Manage project portfolios, including scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, prioritization, and stage gates.
• Partner with business analysts and cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Prepare executive dashboards, presentations, portfolio reports, and project documentation for leadership.
• Evaluate software and AI platforms, optimize business processes, and identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.
• Drive technology adoption through change management, training, communications, feedback collection, and usability improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT project management, business analysis, or related roles.
• Strong experience with PMO governance, portfolio management, and standardized delivery frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Smartsheet, including advanced solutions, dashboards, and workflow automations.
• Foundational understanding of AI tools and technologies, with experience or strong interest in applying AI to business problems.
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements, managing stakeholders, presenting to executives, and translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of SDLC, web technologies, enterprise systems, change management, and user adoption practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI, automation, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Smartsheet Product and Solution Certification.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management training.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
