Accounts Receivable Manager

Location: Hybrid role based at the NYC corporate office in Tribeca, with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage daily accounts receivable operations, including collections, cash applications, reconciliations, credits, deductions, adjustments, and discrepancy resolution.
• Monitor aging, collection activity, credit exposure, past-due balances, and high-risk accounts.
• Develop collection strategies and customer-specific action plans to improve cash flow and reduce aged receivables.
• Prepare AR reserves, bad debt analyses, write-offs, monthly subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliations, and performance reporting.
• Partner with Accounting, Wholesale, Order Management, Logistics, and IT to resolve root causes and improve the Order-to-Cash process.
• Lead, develop, and support the AR team while driving cross-training, documentation, standardization, automation, and AI-focused process improvements.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, credit and collections, or a related accounting function in a complex or high-volume environment.
• Strong knowledge of collections, cash application, account reconciliations, financial controls, credit risk, financial close, and AR subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; Oracle E-Business Suite experience is highly desired.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently and improve processes.
• Ability to work in the hybrid NYC office schedule: 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

Nice to have

• Experience managing or developing an accounts receivable team.
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT for AR process improvement.
• Experience in retail, luxury goods, consumer products, or a multi-channel organization.
