Senior Solutions Engineer (Cloud Storage)

Location: Remote in the United States, with locations listed in Atlanta or Nashville; preference for candidates in Tennessee, Georgia, or Florida

Annual pay range: USD $235,000–$265,000 OTE plus equity

What you will do

• Own the technical relationship across customer opportunities, from discovery and demonstrations through proof-of-concepts and architecture sign-off.
• Partner with Sales and account teams to qualify opportunities and develop technical strategies for unstructured data, performance, scale, and hybrid-cloud requirements.
• Design and validate solutions for file services, backup and archive, analytics, AI/ML, and cloud-adjacent applications.
• Develop architectures for multi-site collaboration, cloud integration, disaster recovery, and long-term data lifecycle management.
• Work directly with infrastructure teams, storage administrators, architects, and application owners.
• Maintain reference architectures, demonstration content, solution briefs, and competitive positioning materials.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Pre-Sales Engineer.
• Experience leading complex pre-sales engagements from discovery through completion.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise storage, file systems, and unstructured data management across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Hands-on understanding of NFS, SMB, object storage, hybrid-cloud solutions, cloud integration, or multi-cloud data management.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into practical solution designs.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, migration, tiering, data protection, or enterprise storage platforms such as S3, Azure Files, Isilon, PowerScale, NetApp, Pure, VAST, Weka, or Scality.
• Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, or DevOps workflows.
• Knowledge of data protection, ransomware recovery, compliance, and business continuity.
• Experience with capacity planning, performance optimization, and total cost of ownership analysis.
• Experience supporting customers across multiple industries and workload types.
