Global Trade Compliance Intern (Summer 2027)

Location: Malta, New York, United States

Salary: $20.00–$40.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support export and import operations, trade risk management, strategy, and policy projects.
• Review shipment documentation, trade data, regulatory requirements, and emerging policy developments.
• Monitor customs, export control, and sanctions records, controls, and compliance processes.
• Research trade regulations, customs requirements, international shipping practices, and technology trade policies.
• Analyze operational and risk data, support audits and reporting, and document compliance processes.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing, Legal, and Finance teams.

Requirements

• Be at least a sophomore and actively pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, Political Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Maintain at least a 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
• Fluent written and verbal English is required.
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship and work onsite in Malta, New York.

Nice to have

• Prior related internship or co-op experience.
• Leadership experience in workplace, academic projects, or competitions.
• Interest in using AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity and decision-making.
• Project management, communication, planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office tools.
