Sr. Legal Counsel (SaaS)

Location: Lincoln, Nebraska, United States. Hybrid work with regular in-office collaboration; applicants within commuting distance are prioritized, and the role is expected to be in-office more days than remote.

Base salary: $159,000–$265,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for a long-term incentive award and discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead legal specialties such as privacy, intellectual property, employment, or mergers and acquisitions.
• Draft and negotiate vendor contracts, sales agreements, and other complex commercial arrangements.
• Advise leadership and non-lawyer colleagues on legal risks and practical solutions.
• Build scalable policies, processes, templates, and legal best practices.
• Collaborate with external parties and regulators while training and mentoring internal teams.

Requirements

• Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• At least six years of experience at a law firm or as in-house counsel.
• Experience building scalable processes and managing competing priorities.
• Understanding of how legal principles apply to modern SaaS businesses.
• Exceptional writing, communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work regularly in the Lincoln office and live within commuting distance is prioritized.
