Senior Software Engineer, OIG (Identity Governance)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Annual base salary: CAD 136,000–187,000

What you will do

• Own OIG feature areas end to end, from technical design and implementation through testing, deployment, and post-launch monitoring.
• Design and deliver secure, scalable, production-ready features for enterprise Identity Governance and Administration workflows.
• Build reliable software covering employee access requests, approvals, and resource access at scale.
• Investigate and resolve bugs and customer-reported issues quickly.
• Collaborate with Product Development, QA, and Site Reliability Engineering on development and deployment planning.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with independent ownership of complex production features.
• Experience architecting and delivering large-scale distributed systems for enterprise customers.
• Deep knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures, APIs, and data modeling at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Go, or an equivalent JVM/cloud-native language.
• Experience designing systems with enterprise reliability, scalability, security, multi-tenancy, high availability, audit logging, and RBAC/ABAC requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to align multiple teams and explain complex technical topics clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience building identity, access management, or governance products.
• Familiarity with workflow engines, finite state machines, or approval and routing systems.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms, cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and observability tooling.
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent education.
