Solution Engineer (Billing Specialist)

Location: Remote within the USA; domestic travel approximately once per month, including industry events.

Base salary: $105,000–$130,000 per year, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Support sales efforts by positioning hirify.global's time, billing, and accounting capabilities in client-facing meetings and projects.
• Conduct discovery sessions to understand billing workflows, fee arrangements, and financial operations.
• Configure and demonstrate hirify.global and Accounting Seed solutions for customer requirements.
• Own and maintain the standard time, billing, and accounting demo, including the full cycle from time entry and pre-bill review through invoicing, payments, collections, and trust accounting.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on law firm billing, answer billing and accounting sections of RFPs, and enable other Solution Engineers.
• Partner with Product to share customer feedback, develop billing capabilities, and influence the product roadmap.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a law firm billing department, finance team, or firm operations role, or experience as a Solution/Sales Engineer with a law firm billing product.
• Hands-on experience managing a complete bill cycle, from time entry and pre-bill review through invoicing, payment, and collections.
• Knowledge of hourly, flat-fee, contingency, and retainer billing, as well as trust/IOLTA accounting, rates, write-downs, realization, LEDES/e-billing, and client billing guidelines.
• Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to solve business and technical problems collaboratively in varied environments.
• Ability to travel domestically approximately once per month.

Nice to have

• Experience with Aderant, Elite, or similar legal billing and practice management systems.
• Previous experience as a Solution Engineer, Sales Engineer, implementation consultant, or customer-facing professional at a legal technology or financial software company.
• Experience using, administering, or implementing Salesforce, Accounting Seed, or another Salesforce-native accounting application.
