Cyber Security Engineer (Vulnerability Management)

What you will do

• Support and improve BT’s enterprise vulnerability management capability.
• Use vulnerability management platforms such as Qualys to identify, investigate and validate vulnerabilities.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, cloud and security teams on prioritisation, remediation and mitigation.
• Produce dashboards, reports and actionable insights for risk-based decision-making.
• Improve security processes, controls and automation, and help implement new capabilities with vendors and engineering teams.
• Share security guidance and knowledge with stakeholders across the business.

Requirements

• Experience in vulnerability management, security engineering or a related security discipline.
• Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux environments and their security risks.
• Experience with vulnerability management platforms such as Qualys, Tenable or Rapid7.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and explain security concepts clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience with Qualys VMDR, CSAM, Patch Management or Policy Compliance.
• Experience creating dashboards, reports, queries or automation.
• Knowledge of cloud, container or application security.
• Familiarity with security frameworks, standards and compliance requirements.
• Experience in a large enterprise environment.
