Software Engineering Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; onsite in the office five days per week. Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Applicants must be eligible to ohirify.globalain DV Security Clearance and must have lived in the UK for 10+ years.

DV allowance of up to £5,000 per annum may be payable while holding the required clearance; 10% target bonus.

What you will do

• Deliver high-quality, well-tested software solutions in line with the engineering strategy, on time and within budget.
• Lead a significant technical area and define technical objectives and roadmaps.
• Work with customers and partners to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
• Delegate technical responsibilities and influence resourcing and delivery direction.
• Line-manage, coach, and mentor a team of software developers.
• Develop and maintain bespoke, highly complex capabilities across varied platforms and technology stacks.

Requirements

• Experience with Agile development, programming, software testing, application development, and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience coaching and mentoring software developers.
• Line-management experience and inspiring leadership skills.
• Ability to perform highly complex work covering technical, financial, and quality aspects.
• Eligibility to ohirify.globalain DV Security Clearance and 10+ years of residence in the UK are required.

Nice to have

• Object-oriented programming experience.
• Experience with C#, Python, C++, Objective-C, Elastic, Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, Git, or the MEAN stack.
• Experience applying a wide range of technical and management principles creatively.
