Senior Systems Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: London, United Kingdom; office attendance is required 4 days per week with 1 day of remote flexibility

What you will do

• Assess vulnerabilities, cloud misconfigurations, end-of-life software, and other attack surface risks.
• Use WIZ CNAPP and Qualys to evaluate findings, prioritize remediation, and advise application custodians.
• Partner with Information Security and Development teams to improve CI/CD and software security practices.
• Lead urgent vulnerability and misconfiguration response activities and support Cyber Defense.
• Develop security hardening standards, configuration baselines, policies, and supporting processes based on CIS Controls and active threats.
• Use Python, AI, threat intelligence, and automation to improve security workflows and assessments.

Requirements

• Cybersecurity experience with vulnerability assessment, risk prioritization, and remediation guidance.
• Hands-on experience with WIZ CNAPP and Qualys vulnerability management platforms.
• Knowledge of CVE, CVSS, EPSS, common attack types, network architecture, and software development.
• Experience with Python or another scripting language for automation.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, especially AWS, and threat intelligence resources.
• Strong communication, self-motivation, process development, mentoring, and collaboration skills, with a degree in Information Systems or equivalent IT experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Splunk, JFrog Artifactory, JFrog Curation, ServiceNow, AWS Services, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, or Anthropic Claude.
• Experience assessing and communicating information security risk.
• Home labs, security practitioner meetups, or independent security research.
