Senior Legal Counsel (AI)

Location: Hybrid role in the United States; preferred office locations are New York, Chicago, Tampa, and Atlanta. Onsite attendance is required for meetings, conferences, and potentially interviews.

Salary: $128,900–$226,050 USD annually, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Provide legal support for complex and high-value software transactions, master services agreements, statements of work, and strategic commercial arrangements.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage partner, reseller, vendor, consulting, and strategic alliance agreements.
• Advise product, engineering, technology, and business leaders on software, data, and AI-enabled products.
• Support AI initiatives, emerging AI regulations, and responsible AI frameworks across the organization.
• Develop legal strategies and forward-looking frameworks aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor changes in the legal landscape and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of progressively responsible legal experience, ideally combining recognized law firm and global corporate legal department experience.
• Admission to practice law in the jurisdiction where the candidate resides.
• Strong legal judgment, drafting, analytical, communication, and change management skills.
• Experience advising on software, data, and AI-enabled products and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
• Functional knowledge of artificial intelligence technologies and experience applying AI tools to legal or compliance processes.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and willingness to travel when necessary.
