Fabricating Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Columbus, Indiana, United States. Onsite manufacturing role; applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Starting salary: $70,000–$75,000 per year

What you will do

• Supervise folding, gluing, waxing, stripping, bundling, and other finishing activities on the assigned shift.
• Coordinate work orders and production activities with the Production Manager and Shift Supervisor.
• Oversee personnel, approve time records, communicate company policies, and support hiring, promotion, and disciplinary recommendations.
• Maintain safe, clean, efficient operations and provide ongoing training on equipment, production standards, safety, and waste control.
• Monitor equipment, materials, product quality, and customer complaints while preventing malfunctions and minimizing downtime.
• Analyze performance and implement process, equipment, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least five years of corrugated manufacturing experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
• Knowledge of corrugated and packaging manufacturing, safety practices, departmental machinery, and shop-floor software.
• Strong organizational, analytical, mechanical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Some college education or manufacturing training.
• Previous supervisory experience in training, team building, performance development, and conflict resolution.
