Production Coach (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Blacksburg, Virginia, United States

Salary: $60,000–$80,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead production employees in a structured team environment while promoting safety, housekeeping, and emergency readiness.
• Set production goals, priorities, schedules, and capacity plans, and optimize workflows to improve efficiency.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving activities and support root cause corrective action, audit closure, and quality improvement processes.
• Track and communicate departmental performance metrics, production progress, costs, budgets, and forecasts.
• Interview, select, evaluate, coach, train, and develop employees while addressing performance issues and supporting personnel decisions.
• Maintain knowledge of manufacturing practices, equipment, technical developments, and supervisory methods.

Requirements

• Associate degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or high school diploma/equivalent with 7 years of relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of leadership or direct supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and quality control standards.
• Excellent communication and team management skills.
• Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work onsite in Blacksburg, Virginia.
