Director, Technology (AI)

Location: Remote within Colombia

What you will do

• Define technology strategies, roadmaps, architecture decisions, technical standards, and governance for complex digital products and platforms.
• Lead end-to-end delivery across frontend, backend, APIs, cloud applications, and headless CMS platforms.
• Provide technical direction for JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and REST/GraphQL architectures.
• Guide teams on cloud infrastructure, scalability, security, CI/CD, DevOps, and application performance.
• Identify opportunities to integrate AI and Generative AI, including LLMs, Vertex AI, and Claude/Claude Code, into products and workflows.
• Lead and mentor global cross-functional engineering teams while partnering with Product, Design, Strategy, senior stakeholders, and clients.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in technology, software engineering, and digital product development.
• Deep understanding of modern web architecture, including frontend, backend, APIs, cloud applications, and headless CMS.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Strong understanding of AI and Generative AI, including LLMs, Vertex AI, and Claude/Claude Code.
• Experience with technical strategy, architecture, roadmaps, governance, standards, security, scalability, CI/CD, and DevOps.
• For candidates with an Engineering or related degree, a valid professional license must be presented.
