Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: Helsinki, Finland; hybrid work with 2–3 days per week in the Helsinki office

Salary: €7,000–€8,500 per month, depending on experience

What you will do

• Lead engineering for data-intensive reporting and integration products used by MSSP partners to serve millions of users.
• Translate product strategy into delivery plans and shipped outcomes in partnership with Product Management.
• Make architecture and technical direction decisions across Node.js, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, MongoDB, Kubernetes, and GCP.
• Build alongside the team while improving observability, incident response, performance, availability, latency, and data quality.
• Own development, performance management, hiring, and team management for a dedicated team of eight engineers.
• Shape roadmaps and safely deliver AI- and LLM-driven capabilities using feedback loops and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager in a product team.
• Experience shipping and operating large-scale, data-intensive SaaS systems.
• Full-stack competence with Node.js, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, MongoDB, Kubernetes, and GCP.
• Production experience with observability, incident response, and performance optimization.
• Strong product and engineering judgment, mentoring ability, and experience raising engineering standards.
• Practical production-grade AI/LLM engineering experience or demonstrated ability to ramp up quickly.

Hiring process

• 30-minute TA screening call and 60-minute meeting with the VP of Engineering.
• Independent take-home assignment taking up to six hours.
• 60–90-minute onsite panel interview, followed by a final alignment call and reference checks.
