What you will do

• Support enterprise database engineering initiatives, platform enhancements, and project delivery.
• Implement, maintain, and support SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments with a focus on availability, security, performance, and reliability.
• Perform performance tuning, query optimization, schema changes, troubleshooting, monitoring, patching, and maintenance.
• Support AWS migration and modernization initiatives using DMS, SCT, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and related services.
• Participate in incident resolution, root cause analysis, on-call support, and operational improvement.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient database solutions.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience supporting and administering SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
• Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, Always On Availability Groups, replication, backups, recovery processes, and Aurora capabilities.
• Experience with AWS database migrations and modernization, including RDS and Aurora.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, database administration, and performance tuning.
• Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, Terraform, or similar tools, plus Git and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• AWS Cloud and PostgreSQL database certification is required. A bachelor’s degree and SQL Server certification are preferred or advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experience with DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Redis Cache, and other cloud-native or NoSQL technologies.
• Relevant database or cloud certifications.
• Formal training in SQL Server and PostgreSQL technologies.
