Senior Technical Marketing Engineer (Zero Trust)

Location: Remote within the USA

Base salary: $143,500–$205,000 USD per year, excluding commission, bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead hands-on customer Proof of Value engagements, architectural demonstrations, pilot evaluations, and field validations.
• Design, deploy, and maintain physical and virtual networking labs that simulate enterprise branch, edge, retail, and distributed network topologies.
• Diagnose and resolve complex L2/L3 networking escalations, segmentation issues, routing anomalies, latency, MTU, NAT, and firewall traversal problems.
• Create deployment runbooks, reference architectures, white papers, competitive test plans, and other technical collateral.
• Deliver technical training, workshops, and webinars for systems engineers, professional services, and channel partners.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical marketing, solutions architecture, or advanced systems engineering.
• Deep expertise in enterprise routing, switching, TCP/IP, L2/L3 network segmentation, and tunneling protocols including WireGuard, IPsec, and VXLAN.
• Experience leading customer Proof of Value pilots and executive architectural evaluations in complex enterprise and distributed edge environments.
• Hands-on experience with bare-metal appliances, ESXi, KVM, EVE-NG, and GNS3 for building multi-vendor network labs.
• Advanced packet analysis and troubleshooting skills using Wireshark, tcpdump, and traffic-generation tools.
• Experience authoring production-grade technical collateral and delivering enablement sessions to sales engineering, professional services, and partner teams.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI technologies and workflows to improve operational efficiency.
• Python, Bash, infrastructure-as-code, Ansible, Terraform, REST APIs, or configuration-management experience.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes networking for distributed branch and cloud environments.
• Networking or security certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, JNCIP, or PCNSE.
• Experience with retail, kiosk, IoT/OT, or cellular WAN/5G failover deployments.
