Software Engineer II, Frontend (Marketing and Privacy)

Location: Remote in Canada only; candidates must reside in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan. New hires attend an in-person onboarding experience.

Base pay: CAD $133,000–$183,000 per year.

What you will do

• Build and improve high-traffic logged-out consumer web experiences using modern frontend technologies.
• Develop experimentation, instrumentation, client-side tagging, attribution, and marketing technology integrations.
• Break larger projects into deliverable phases and collaborate with technical, product, design, marketing, analytics, and data engineering partners.
• Write clear, tested, extensible code and contribute to shared component systems.
• Create and monitor operational metrics, support availability, and participate in on-call and maintenance efforts.
• Support engineering growth through code reviews, feedback, interviews, and development activities.

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web applications with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
• Professional experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Ability to turn business problems into solutions spanning multiple software components.
• Strong debugging, code review, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Equivalent practical experience or a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Tag Manager, analytics and experimentation platforms, conversion tracking, or marketing APIs.
• Experience with privacy-aware measurement systems and high-scale consumer web products.
