Process Engineering Technician (2nd Shift) (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Nampa, Idaho, United States. Extensive travel to manufacturing facilities in Pullman, Washington and Lewiston, Idaho is required during the first 6–12 months, typically in multiweek increments totaling approximately 8–12 weeks or more.

Salary: $34.81–$51.39 per hour, plus a $5.00 per hour second-shift differential.

What you will do

• Provide immediate technical support to manufacturing and clarify production process specifications.
• Measure and improve manufacturing yield, efficiency, equipment capacity, and process performance.
• Document, modify, and maintain manufacturing procedures.
• Manage procurement of assembly process tools.
• Train operators and support staff on manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Travel to Pullman and Lewiston facilities for training, process familiarization, relationship building, and facility startup support.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with relevant manufacturing equipment and basic computer skills, including Windows-based productivity tools such as Excel, Word, and SQL.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities, and work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Ability to lift and maneuver 40 pounds and sit and/or stand for at least 8 hours, with frequent reaching, bending, gripping, twisting, and fine finger dexterity.
• Satisfactory background check and negative drug test results.

Nice to have

• Experience troubleshooting process and machinery problems.
• Experience writing or conducting Design of Experiments.
• Experience programming and maintaining automated manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Experience preparing material cross-sections for microscopic analysis.
• Working knowledge of basic analog and digital electronics.
