Engineering Technician III - Day Shift (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Kalispell, Montana, United States; onsite day-shift role with approximately 10% travel. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $25.00–$34.70 per hour

What you will do

• Design, test, check out, fabricate, modify, troubleshoot, and assemble electronic and electro-mechanical systems, prototypes, test equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Test and troubleshoot system-level and component-level electrical and mechanical problems.
• Perform new system and NPI installations, field upgrades, rework, and malfunction remedies.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing according to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
• Compile logbooks and test procedures, assist with department procedures, and generate Quality Notifications.
• Follow safety, security, cleanroom, and equipment-operating procedures.

Requirements

• Proficiency in analytical processes and procedures for assigned technical work.
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, layouts, plans, and written or verbal technical descriptions.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and operate heavy machinery, including forklifts.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, work in tight spaces, lift materials, and work in noisy environments for extended periods.
• Ability to distinguish colors and use required personal protective equipment in cleanroom environments, including coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
• Ability to communicate technical information and provide informal guidance to junior team members.
