Project Specialist - Operations Excellence & Training (Manufacturing)

Location: Wheeling, IL, USA; onsite. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with flexibility to work all shifts as needed.

Pay range: $33.14–$36.05 per hour.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the plant training strategy, annual learning plan, and role-based learning roadmaps.
• Assess capability needs and design onboarding, technical, safety, quality, compliance, leadership, and continuous improvement programs.
• Establish training standards, qualification requirements, training matrices, certification processes, and refresher schedules.
• Create and maintain standard work, job aids, facilitator guides, training materials, and digital learning content.
• Lead train-the-trainer programs, coach leaders and subject matter experts, and facilitate classroom, hands-on, and blended learning.
• Administer training records, track completion and qualification status, measure learning effectiveness, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework is preferred.
• Hands-on manufacturing training experience and demonstrated technical aptitude.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and proven leadership and training skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality, with critical-thinking, data-analysis, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, facilitate tailored workshops, and work all shifts as needed.
