Material Control Specialist (Inventory Management)

Location: Romeoville, Illinois, United States — Distribution Center; onsite

Salary: $20.00–$34.00 per hour

What you will do

• Supervise daily cycle-count execution, track progress, and implement corrective actions for inventory discrepancies.
• Support physical inventory counts, receiving administration, OS&D reporting, and resolution of zero-pick discrepancies.
• Optimize inventory by redistributing stocked-out or excess items and supporting excess and idle scrapping programs.
• Evaluate proposed customer returns and inspect returned products for saleable condition.
• Manage inventory inspections with Engineering and Quality teams and assist Sales with urgent backorder solutions.
• Review and improve inventory tools and processes, and release manufacturing orders for customer and build-to-stock needs.

Requirements

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, research, project management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Inventory management and industrial warehouse experience.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice to have

• ASC-ES Warehouse Management System experience.
• Infor M3 experience.
• Forklift certification.
