Scrum Master (Financial Services)

Location: Lansing, Michigan area; must be within 50 miles or a 1-hour commute for on-site interviews and work. No remote option; at least 2 days on-site are required.

What you will do

• Serve as a servant leader, Agile coach, and facilitator for cross-functional software development teams.
• Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, backlog refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Remove impediments, negotiate dependencies, protect teams from delivery distractions, and improve delivery forecasting.
• Partner with Product Owners, Engineering, QA, Architecture, Compliance, and Operations on priorities, dependencies, and business outcomes.
• Coach teams and leaders on Lean-Agile principles, continuous improvement, and continuous delivery.
• Support multiple Agile teams or large scaled programs in a cloud-first environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development environments.
• Experience supporting complex enterprise-level financial or debt management software solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and scaled Agile methodologies such as SAFe, Nexus, or LeSS.
• Understanding of SDLC, secure application development, DevOps practices, and regulatory, privacy, and security requirements in financial services.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and integration-heavy, API-driven, or data-centric systems.
• Must be local to the Lansing, Michigan area and able to work on-site at least 2 days per week; no remote option is available.

Nice to have

• SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Advanced Scrum Master, CSM, PSM I/II, ICP-ACC, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with debt collection or servicing systems, payment processing workflows, or financial case management platforms.
• Experience supporting QA processes such as regression testing, UAT, and post-deployment validation.
• Experience establishing Agile Centers of Excellence or process governance programs.
