Project Manager for Software (AI)

Location: Salt Lake City, United States; office-based role

What you will do

• Guide cross-functional software teams through planning, execution, and release delivery.
• Create and maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery roadmaps.
• Coordinate product, design, engineering, quality, sales, and customer success workstreams.
• Translate approved designs and customer needs into requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
• Communicate progress, decisions, risks, roadblocks, and tradeoffs to stakeholders and leadership.
• Improve delivery practices using modern tools, metrics, retrospectives, and effective project management methods.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing software projects, programs, or product delivery.
• Technical background with a degree or equivalent experience in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches.
• Demonstrated experience shipping reliable software in complex, cross-functional environments.
• Strong skills in communication, roadmapping, documentation, risk management, accountability, and problem solving.
• Ability to align leaders and delivery teams on product vision, priorities, quality, and release goals.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of software development lifecycles, APIs, cloud platforms, CI/CD, quality assurance, release management, Jira, Confluence, or GitHub.
• Experience tracking dependencies, risks, budgets, release readiness, delivery metrics, and retrospectives.
• Ability to explain technical tradeoffs to audiences with varied levels of experience.
