Project Manager CIO PMO (Federal PMO)

Location: Washington, DC, United States; onsite client presence required two days per week

What you will do

• Lead project activities across PMO teams, including plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and governance.
• Direct budgeting, cost tracking, and resource planning and allocation.
• Evaluate processes, procedures, and systems and develop reports with improvement recommendations and practical solutions.
• Build work breakdown structures, schedules, charts, tables, graphs, and other project artifacts.
• Analyze project metrics, KPIs, risks, and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate change management, stakeholder communication, training, executive briefings, and daily direction for project staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field.
• PMP, CAPM, or PMI-ACP certification required.
• 7+ years of project management, project analyst, PMO, or related experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Experience with project plans, WBS structures, schedules, KPIs, metrics, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and prioritization skills.
• U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• SAFe, CSM, or equivalent agile certification.
• Federal PMO or CIO-level initiative experience.
• Experience with GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Jira, or similar tools.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams.
