Senior Specialist, Quality Engineering (Aerospace)

Location: Amityville, New York, United States. Onsite role with up to 10% travel. The position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance; security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

Salary: $96,000–$178,000 per year in the Greater NYC area.

What you will do

• Lead program quality execution across all phases of the product lifecycle.
• Support design and process development, risk identification, mitigation, and production performance monitoring.
• Drive continuous improvement and adherence to AS9100 quality management requirements.
• Lead root-cause and corrective-action activities for technical and operational issues.
• Develop Zero Defect Projects and implement countermeasures to improve yield, delivery, and product quality.
• Act as the program quality focal point between quality leadership and program teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and at least 4 years of related experience.
• Applicants without a degree must have at least 10 years of related experience.
• Experience with root-cause analysis, corrective action, and structured problem-solving tools.
• Knowledge of AS9100, verification and validation, quantitative analysis, APQP, and New Product Development.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance; security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting high-complexity aerospace production.
• Experience interfacing with U.S. government agencies and prime aerospace customers.
• Proficiency in MS Office, PowerBI, Visio, and Minitab.
