Location: Hagerstown, Maryland, United States; office or hybrid environment. Occasional travel may be required for audits and supplier visits.

Estimated starting salary: $74,581.13–$102,549.04 per year.

What you will do

  • Lead quality improvement initiatives across the production lifecycle.
  • Plan and conduct internal and external quality audits.
  • Develop corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
  • Design and improve processes that increase product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and train engineers and production staff on quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a quality engineer or in a related field; 6 years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Knowledge and use of AS9100, ISO 9001, and applicable military and statutory standards.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality management systems.
  • Leadership and project management skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Certified Auditor experience.
  • External audit participation, Microsoft Office, and database experience.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
