Systems Engineer/Systems Administrator (C4ISR)

Salary: $82,400–$88,400 per year

What you will do

• Recommend hardware and software configurations for agency system testing and integrated system environments.
• Administer, install, integrate, configure, test, troubleshoot, and sustain Windows-based and C4ISR systems.
• Develop, maintain, and execute test scripts for validation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Diagnose hardware, software, network, and integrated system failures; support repairs and restoration activities.
• Identify root causes and recommend short-term corrective actions, long-term solutions, and system design improvements.
• Coordinate with engineering, testing, operations, and technical personnel while maintaining system documentation.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in IT, systems engineering, system administration, system integration, testing, or a related environment.
• Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows-based systems and maintaining hardware and software.
• Experience developing and executing technical test procedures or test scripts and diagnosing system failures.
• Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work in laboratory, shipboard, and shore-based technical environments and travel up to 20%.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting the U.S. Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, or Federal C4ISR environments.
• Experience with National Security Cutters, shipboard systems, operations analysis, or simulation platforms.
• Experience with system integration, verification, validation, acceptance testing, cybersecurity, and system hardening.
• Microsoft, networking, cybersecurity, or systems administration certifications.
