Social Work Team Lead

Location: Remote

Base salary: $105,000 per year; the range may vary if the role is hired at another level.

What you will do

• Lead one or more teams of licensed clinical and oncology social workers.
• Manage escalations, urgent clinical consultations, overflow coverage, and complex member or caregiver interactions.
• Run team huddles and case conferences while supporting targeted care plans, care coordination, crisis management, and psychosocial services.
• Coach, mentor, and develop social workers while monitoring quality, productivity, and team performance.
• Track social-work OKRs, conduct root-cause analyses, and improve workflows, documentation, staffing, and operational procedures.
• Promote culturally competent care, health equity, health literacy, and collaboration across the broader Care Team.

Requirements

• Master of Social Work or equivalent master's degree in social work.
• Unrestricted LMSW or LCSW license and willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
• At least 8 years of social work experience, including 2 years leading social work teams in oncology and/or case management.
• Experience supporting people with complex social needs in healthcare; oncology, palliative care, care management, or value-based care experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, clinical judgment, crisis-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort using or learning video conferencing, Google Workspace, Slack, electronic health records, and other healthcare technologies.

Nice to have

• Oncology Social Work certification.
• Certified Advanced Palliative and Hospice Social Worker, Certified Case Manager, or another relevant oncology or palliative-care certification.
