Senior Credit Officer - FI Credit (Banks)

What you will do

• Manage the Global Banks portfolio, including intragroup subsidiaries.
• Make recommendations on complex transactions and lending or trading limit requests.
• Develop sector strategies, policies, and processes for financial institution credit.
• Use delegated credit authority to make senior credit decisions and lead client due diligence meetings.
• Partner with Coverage and Product teams while constructively challenging front-line proposals.
• Mentor junior colleagues, review submissions, and collaborate across Insurance, Securitisations, Financial Sponsors, and Funds portfolios.

Requirements

• Significant experience assessing credit risk for global banks, including knowledge of sector trends, horizon risks, and regulation.
• Strong knowledge of lending and traded products and related documentation.
• Previous experience holding senior Credit Authority and leading client due diligence meetings.
• Track record of independent decision-making and clear, concise communication.
• Strong organisation, prioritisation, influencing, negotiating, and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Interest in change, automation, simplification, and developing team members.
