Corporate Development & Investments Manager

Location: London; hybrid model with onsite work required 50% of the time

What you will do

• Source corporate development opportunities, including acquisition and investment targets.
• Contribute end to end to M&A transactions, FT Ventures investments and disposals, including valuation modelling, due diligence, pricing, transaction coordination, and contract negotiation.
• Lead financial, valuation, business plan, and commercial analysis of opportunities.
• Lead portfolio reviews, investment proposal assessments, thematic research, and portfolio management projects.
• Prepare board papers and approval documentation for the CFO, CEO, FT Board, and Nikkei.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with senior leadership and functions across the FT and Nikkei Group.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, corporate finance, private equity, venture capital, or corporate development.
• Essential buy-side experience and demonstrable end-to-end transaction experience.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, business plan, commercial analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong undergraduate degree, ideally in economics, business, finance, law, or accounting.
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite, and AI tools, with strong strategic, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
