Senior Director – Federal Government Pursuits (Defense Technology)

Location: Melbourne, Florida, United States. Extensive travel required.

Salary: $230,000–$260,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Lead the identification, pursuit, and capture of high-value Federal Government contract opportunities.
• Develop winning strategies and proposals aligned with agency objectives, technical requirements, costs, and management plans.
• Provide technical leadership across modern signal intelligence, ISR, electronic warfare, defensive cyber, special communications, and strategic mission solutions.
• Build relationships with Federal stakeholders and industry partners while developing new business opportunities.
• Analyze government markets, upcoming opportunities, and shifts in priorities to guide growth strategies and technical investments.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to align innovation and emerging technologies with future pursuits.

Requirements

• Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in a related technical field.
• At least 10 years of experience in senior technology or Federal Government business development roles, with success winning or managing high-value contracts.
• Experience with Federal, Department of Defense, and Intelligence Community markets, capture management, proposal development, strategic growth, and executive stakeholder engagement.
• Deep understanding of collaborative sensing, signal processing, cybersecurity, cross-domain systems, and WMD defense; familiarity with AI and advanced analytics is highly desirable.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, business acumen, relationship-building, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI U.S. government security clearance with polygraph are required.
