Industrial Maintenance Technician, Days

Location: Mentor, Ohio, USA; onsite day shift, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM

Salary: $31.47–$41.41 per hour

What you will do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain automated manufacturing machinery, motors, conveyor systems, switchboards, relays, and power distribution circuits.
• Identify root causes of electrical and mechanical failures using schematics, diagrams, precision tools, and testing instruments.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and support plant uptime.
• Install conduit and wiring, replace components, and test equipment for safety, OSHA compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams, report shift metrics, maintain maintenance logs, and improve quality and safety workflows.

Requirements

• Trade school certification, an associate degree in industrial maintenance, or equivalent journeyman-level experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot 3-phase and PLC systems.
• Ability to safely use electrical testing instruments and apply root-cause problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills, self-motivation, teamwork, and willingness to work overtime.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• 3 or more years of multi-craft electrical and mechanical industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with process equipment, roll maintenance, or automated production systems.
