Executive Advisor - Transformational Gifts

Location: Remote within the USA; Memphis, TN or Los Angeles, CA. Extensive national travel, including evenings and weekends, is required.

Salary: $147,500–$221,200 per year.

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of transformational prospects and drive the qualification, cultivation, solicitation, closing, and stewardship of $10M+ gifts.
• Develop strategies for engaging high-net-worth individuals, families, and foundations around transformational investments.
• Provide strategic consulting, donor-conversation preparation, and gift-strategy support to relationship managers.
• Collaborate with C-suite, clinical, operational, and philanthropic leaders on high-stakes donor engagement.
• Support advisory boards, councils, campus experiences, and peer-to-peer donor engagement.
• Co-create customized proposals and lead strategic initiatives, institutional campaigns, anniversaries, and research-focused funding priorities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience closing or advising on 8- and 9-figure philanthropic conversations, ideally in healthcare, higher education, or a complex mission-driven institution.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Ability to coach and facilitate while supporting authentic leadership styles.
• Ability to translate research initiatives and clinical innovations into compelling donor-centered opportunities.
• Strong emotional intelligence, influence without formal authority, and comfort working in matrixed environments.
