What you will do
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment works, pumping stations, pipelines, reservoirs, and network upgrades.
- Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, resource plans, risks, change control, and mitigation strategies.
- Oversee feasibility, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, handover, and compliance with statutory, environmental, regulatory, and health and safety requirements.
- Manage CAPEX/OPEX budgets, forecasts, costs, NEC/JCT contracts, contractor performance, payment applications, and variations.
- Coordinate clients, regulators, contractors, local authorities, environmental bodies, utility providers, and internal delivery teams.
- Provide line management and technical leadership to Project Engineers, including performance reviews, mentoring, development planning, and resource allocation.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience delivering water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Experience administering NEC or equivalent contracts.
- Demonstrable line management experience and strong stakeholder communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of water sector regulations and standards.
