Senior Project Manager - Finance

Location: Edinburgh, United Kingdom; hybrid with 2–3 days in the office per week

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end delivery of medium to highly complex Finance projects, including business cases, objectives, scope, resources, plans, and expected benefits.
• Establish project governance, maintain RACI and RAID logs, and ensure required documentation and stage-gate approvals are completed.
• Manage schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, resources, external costs, and change controls to maintain delivery within agreed tolerances.
• Report progress, forecasts, issues, and business case viability to sponsors, programme managers, directors, and steering committees.
• Complete handover to BAU and support business benefits realization and project closure.
• Lead, mentor, coach, and develop project team members while improving project and change management capabilities across the organisation.

Requirements

• Significant demonstrable experience delivering projects end to end, including turning around failing projects and building stakeholder buy-in.
• Experience leading business transformation projects within a Finance function and working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience working in a highly controlled and regulated environment.
• Strong project planning, budgetary control, financial management, risk management, communication, and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Advanced understanding and practical application of project management methodologies.
• Experience managing and coaching Project Managers, Business Analysts, Testers, Developers, and subject-matter experts.
