Program Manager

Location: Remote within the United States; periodic travel to U.S. and overseas locations may be required

What you will do

• Lead nationwide and OCONUS delivery of the Department of Veterans Affairs Transition Assistance Program across more than 300 installations.
• Direct a geographically dispersed Benefits Advisor workforce of approximately 250–280 personnel.
• Own program performance, staffing, schedules, costs, quality, risks, contract compliance, and operational continuity.
• Act as the senior contractor point of contact for VA leadership, government program managers, contracting representatives, and federal stakeholders.
• Oversee field operations, curriculum development, training, analytics, program evaluation, modernization, and knowledge management.
• Manage quality controls, Service Contract Act requirements, reporting, executive briefings, travel, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of program or project management experience.
• PMP certification or an equivalent recognized project management certification, or progressive experience managing increasingly complex programs.
• At least 5 years managing large-scale, geographically dispersed operations comparable to a nationwide federal service-delivery program.
• At least 5 years leading national-scope programs and teams within the Federal Government or Department of War.
• Experience managing Service Contract Act contracts and familiarity with SOFA programs, requirements, and systems.
• Strong executive communication, organizational, leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience managing federal programs with significant OCONUS operations.
• Experience with SOFA and host-nation labor requirements in Japan, the Republic of Korea, Germany, Italy, Spain, or the United Kingdom.
• Experience supporting VA, Department of War, military transition, veteran services, or similarly complex federal programs.
