SatOps Project Manager (Satellite Operations)

Location: Based in the Denver, Colorado region, with three to four days in the office per week and remaining time flexible for remote work. Relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead satellite operations projects as the primary customer-facing project management contact.
• Define and manage project objectives, priorities, schedules, milestones, budgets, and performance expectations.
• Lead cross-functional teams and external partners across customer, operational, technical, commercial, and leadership stakeholders.
• Monitor cost, schedule, scope, risk, quality, resources, and customer satisfaction, addressing issues and variances proactively.
• Coordinate customer commitments with satellite operations capabilities, resources, and priorities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain project governance, documentation, financial forecasts, status reporting, proposals, contract modifications, and renewal activities.

Requirements

• US citizenship or permanent residence required.
• Ability to obtain US Secret Clearance, if required, and support systems handling Controlled Unclassified Information.
• 7+ years of experience in project management or a related leadership role.
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace, space, satellite, defense, telecommunications, or another high-technology industry.
• Experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, customer commitments, cost, schedule, scope, risk, and performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field; strong customer communication, organizational, financial, contractual, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting satellite operations, ground segment design, or complex operational services.
• Experience with US Government customers or contracts.
• Experience working with international customers, partners, and geographically distributed teams.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
